Creating a system that prioritises the human experience, offering a more intuitive, people-centered approach to finding a home.

As someone who approaches the world differently, I've always found that my practical, hands-on learning style allows me to excel in ways that traditional methods might not. While formal education presented its challenges (8 attempts to pass English O-Level 😳) I discovered that my strength lies in observing, understanding & doing. This ability to learn by doing has enabled me to master skills quickly and understand better.

Being dyslexic means reading & traditional forms of study have never been my forte. In fact, just the thought of reading a book makes me yawn (uncontrollably!) But this hasn't held me back; it's pushed me to think outside the box and find alternative ways to succeed. This unique way of thinking also means I often describe things that are perfectly clear to me, but that others find difficult to grasp. Yet, I've come to realise that this difference is my strength. It allows me to see opportunities and solutions where others see obstacles.

Throughout my life, I've had the privilege of experiencing both simplicity and luxury—from sailing around the British Virgin Islands and mingling with people like Mr. Rockefeller, to enjoying the opulence of the Balmoral Suite on the QM2. These experiences have taught me that contentment isn't about the size of the boat or the grandeur of a suite; it's about appreciating the simple joys, like beans on toast and a glass of milk— more satisfying to me than a filet or lobster. This contentment frees me from the pressures that often drive others, allowing me to dream and try things others can't.

In 2009, I embarked on a journey to critically evaluate and improve the systems within the property market, particularly addressing the inefficiencies of platforms like Rightmove. Despite its success, I saw a platform constrained by its own outdated technology and the pressure to maintain profits. While Rightmove boasts impressive traffic numbers, the conversion rate from visits to completed sales is shockingly low—just 2-3 out of every 10,000 visits. The gap between online engagement and sales highlights a huge inefficiency in the property market.

Driven by my insatiable desire to understand and improve systems, I've spent years channelling my creative thinking into developing a grassroots overhaul of how consumers interact with the web when looking for a new home. Not just another property search system; a complete rethinking of how people, not properties, should be the focus of the home-buying experience. As I've said before, property is a people business, not a portal business.

My goal is to create a system that prioritises the human experience, offering a more intuitive, people-centered approach to finding a home. I'm excited about the potential this project has to transform the property market by putting people first. If you're interested in innovation, property technology, or simply thinking differently, I'd love to connect and tell you all about it
