Nature Does Not Over-Endow.

Nature Doesn't Over-Endow. Attract, Don't Chase.

Nature does not over-endow.

The animals, insects, plants, marine mammals all have one thing in common - nothing about them is superfluous. They are born with all the tools necessary to sustain life - nothing more, nothing less.

Those same qualities are also inherent in humans - but unlike the rest of nature, we tend to forget to use those tools to sustain us. We have been told and subsequently believe we are deficient. We look outside for the next 'shiny object' to make life easier or more successful.

Especially if "estate agent" is the lable we have attached to ourselves.

The desire to 'win more listings'

The need to attract better employees.

The reliance on data and the opinion of others.

Seeking awareness and attention.

All of that - whilst ignoring our greatest strength.

The natural ability to connect and interact with another human being for mutual benefit.

Instead we lable them as 'leads' to be generated. Numbers to be crunched and even 'prey' to be 'stalked' by the more obnoxious members of our tribe.

When we diminish The Brand Within, the essence of Who we are, and instead rely on external factors to convince and convert, we effectively close the book on relationships and focus intently on transactions. It becomes competition; a numbers game for those without the confidence to be themselves.

Nature is like a symphony orchestra. Each instrument (organism) plays its part, not to outdo the others, but to contribute to the harmony of the whole piece. Some instruments lead, some follow, and others provide subtle, supporting notes. Each relies on the others to create a beautiful, balanced performance. In this way, nature's interactions are less about competition and more about collaboration, creating an intricate and interconnected masterpiece.

When estate agents fail to gain an instruction, they imagine the competition to be at fault. They do not consider that the vendor might well have chosen the best fit agency based on things other than valuation/fee/service. And instead of feeling happy that the vendor has made their choice, and that their own agency has contributed to that decision, they go out of their way to persuade the vendor they made a mistake.

And an industry wonders why it is so mistrusted and disliked.

Be more like nature - collaborate and communicate with everything around. Find the perfection in everything.

Especially in who you are - The Brand Within.
