Estate agents have a reputation for exaggeration, half-truths and easy promises, in order to win clients.

Unfortunately, it has resulted in them being one of the least trusted of professions.

When they lead with Competence and there are no "rules", it becomes a rat-race - where the winner is still a "rat".

Why not lead with Character, so that potential clients don't have to decide on competence but are invited to make a simple choice - does this character resonare with me, or not?

Probably why they don't lead with that strategy is that they are encouraged to "be everything to everybody.".

They'll get it eventually.
