Is Competition For Losers?
Estate agency is obsessed with the need to prove themselves "better than" their competition. Even though they never do.
Competition is creating an unhealthy environment, resulting in stress through having to "perform" and hit targets. Because there are no "rules", estate agents can say pretty much what they like to win the instruction from a competitor.
"He said what?"
The sad consequence of which is that the homeowner is subjected to a series of half-truths, questionable claims of competence and a contract that is often worse than a life-sentence.
There is no need to compete - if you can prove how your agency is different.
Unfortunately, most estate agencies don't appreciate how they are different. They assume it's "better customer service"; more social media approval, greater market share, different branding.
It's not.
There is only one true point of difference - a difference that can never be replicated.
