A Market of One.

The Wake-Up Call · Part 5 of 5

We began with 49% of agents selling almost nothing. We end with the strangest business opportunity you will ever be offered: a game with no opponents, waiting for the story only you can tell.

Let me tell you what I find genuinely funny about this whole series, in the way that true things are sometimes funny.

More than 1.5 million agents are locked in brutal competition, elbowing each other for scraps of visibility, undercutting each other's fees, copying each other's posts, all fighting over the same crowded square inch of the market. And standing right beside that battlefield is an infinite, empty, unclaimed territory that every single one of them owns exclusively, and almost nobody moves in.

The territory is you. Your character. Your story. And here's the punchline: nobody can compete with you for it, because nobody else can be you. They can copy your listing presentation overnight. They can copy your posts by lunchtime. Your character is the one asset in this entire industry that is theft-proof, and it's the one asset the industry never taught you to build on.

No one can compete with you on being you. Most of life is a search for who and what needs you the most.Naval Ravikant

Zero competition. Not low competition, not a blue ocean with a few boats on the horizon. Zero. In the character game, the concept of a competitor stops making sense, the way “rival” stops making sense when we're talking about your fingerprint.

The story only you can tell

Every agent has one. I've never met an exception, though I've met hundreds who were certain they were the exception.

The nurse who became an agent and treats every anxious first-time buyer like a patient in her care. The agent who lost a family home in childhood and now cannot physically bring herself to rush a family's decision. The former builder who walks buyers through what the survey means rather than what it says. None of them thought their story was marketing. All of them thought it was just their life.

But that story is the answer to the only question the market is actually asking, which was never “who has the most experience?” It was always: who are you, and can I trust you with the biggest decision of my life? Your story is the only credible answer, because it's the only answer no one else can give.

The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.Often attributed to Mark Twain, and true regardless of who said it

The problem, and I say this tenderly, is that you are the worst-positioned person on earth to see your own story. You've been inside it too long. It looks like Tuesday to you. Every agent I've worked with has needed someone to hold up the mirror and say: there. That thing you dismissed as ordinary. That's it.

Holding up the mirror

This is why I built My Future Me. Sixteen sessions with an AI coach that asks you the questions nobody in this industry ever asks. Not “what's your GCI goal?” but who are you, who are you to others, and who are you becoming? It excavates the story you can't see, maps the character that's been buried under a decade of templated marketing, and turns it into a strategy you own.

And I want to be plain about the design, because it matters. My Future Me is a one-time purchase, £97, and then it's yours. No subscription. No dependency. No monthly drip of motivation you'll need forever. It teaches you the framework precisely so that you won't need me afterwards. If that sounds like a strange way to run a business, it is. It's also the entire point. I'd rather set you free than keep you.

The Wake-Up Call, in one paragraph: Nearly half of agents sell almost nothing, not because they lack capability but because they're replicating marketing in a game only volume and price can win. The way out isn't to play harder. It's to stop competing, stop comparing, stop conforming, and lead with the one thing that makes you incomparable: character, ahead of competence, always.

One last thing, agent to agent

If you've read all five of these and you're still hesitating, I understand. Hiding is safer. Templates are safer. Nobody mocks the agent who looks like everyone else, because nobody notices her either, and there's a bleak sort of comfort in that.

But you didn't get licensed to be unnoticed. Somewhere under the scripts and the Just Sold posts is the person who once believed this work mattered, and that person has been waiting, patiently, through every quiet quarter, for you to let them do the talking.

The 49% is not a verdict. It's a queue. And you're allowed to step out of it any time you like.

Trust. Wanna buy some?
